Woody joined TCV in 2008 and has been working in the venture capital industry since 1995. He focuses on investments in the fintech, mobile, and digital media & entertainment industries. Woody currently serves on the boards of directors of GoFundMe, Nerdy (NRDY), Newsela, OnX, Payoneer (PAYO), Sojern, and Spotify (SPOT). His other active investments include Believe, ByteDance, Nubank (NU), Peloton (PTON), SeatGeek, and Wealthsimple. Woody’s prior board memberships include Built, Dollar Shave Club (acquired by Unilever), HomeAway (acquired by Expedia), and XRS (acquired by Omnitracs). His other prior investments include Airbnb (ABNB), Green Dot (GDOT), Groupon (GRPN), Netflix (NFLX), and Prodege. Prior to joining TCV, Woody spent 12 years at Trident Capital, a venture capital and private equity firm, where he focused on the payments, internet, and mobile markets.

Woody earned his B.A. from Hamilton College and his M.B.A. from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
