Rita Selvaggi and Shanel Vandergriff Join Technology Crossover Ventures as Executive Advisors
Both Ms. Selvaggi and Ms. Vandergriff previously held long and successful senior marketing leadership positions at SolarWinds (NYSE: SWI), an IT management software company, which completed a successful IPO in May 2009 and is well known for its disruptive and highly efficient business model for selling software into the enterprise. Ms. Selvaggi previously was senior vice president of marketing where she helped design and implement SolarWinds’ unique Web marketing and high-volume sales strategy. Ms. Vandergriff partnered with Ms. Selvaggi to build demand-generation programs across geographies and channels.

About Rita Selvaggi
An industry veteran with over 25 years of high-tech sales and marketing experience in both startups and multinational public companies, Rita Selvaggi was most recently the senior vice president of marketing at SolarWinds from 2006 through 2010. There, as a key member of the senior executive team, she helped to design and build the high-velocity sales and marketing engine that fueled the IT management software company's successful IPO in 2009. Ms. Selvaggi was directly responsible for the execution and expansion of SolarWinds' unique Web marketing strategy, which has shaped the SolarWinds brand and is a vital part of SolarWinds' business model today. Prior to joining SolarWinds, Ms. Selvaggi was vice president, corporate and business development at Blue Coat Systems, and she served as vice president, marketing and business development at Permeo Technologies, Inc., a network security software company, until its acquisition by Blue Coat Systems in early 2006. Prior to Permeo, Ms. Selvaggi held executive and senior management sales and marketing roles at TANTAU Software (acquired by 724 Solutions), pcOrder (acquired by Trilogy Software), VTEL Corporation, and IBM. Ms. Selvaggi holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Delaware and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
About Shanel Vandergriff
Shanel Vandergriff is a marketing executive with more than 12 years of experience in developing high-impact demand-generation programs for software companies. She has managed all aspects of marketing, including awareness and branding, marketing communications, product marketing, and lead generation. Most recently, Ms. Vandergriff held the position of vice president of marketing for SolarWinds, an IT management software company, where she was responsible for building out and managing a worldwide team to drive demand across multiple product lines and channels. Leveraging a metrics-based approach, Ms. Vandergriff played a critical role in SolarWinds' efforts to maximize return on marketing investment by creating, executing and evaluating integrated marketing campaigns and programs. Previous to SolarWinds, she held marketing leadership positions in high-growth startups including Permeo Technologies (acquired by Blue Coat Systems), AlterPoint and Mission Critical Software (acquired by NetIQ). Ms. Vandergriff holds a Bachelor of Arts in sociology and business administration from the University of California, Los Angeles.
